geiger. the dowdupont merger announced late last year is taking some heat from the senate judiciary committee.. chairman and iowa senator chuck grassley is raising alarms over the proposal to merge by companies dow and dupont pioneer.. he's threatening possible hearings on the anti-trust

move.. saying the judiciary committee has an obligation to review the merger. the merge would create a 95 billion dollar company.. which would split into three separate companies.. all selling as much as a fifth of the worlds pesticides and 40 percent of u-s corn and bean seeds.. grassley says that makes a huge concern because of a potential of reduced competition.. force layoffs.. and the history right here in iowa.
